Based in Montreal, in the Mile-Ex, Blindspot is a brand-new independent studio, whose objective is to create high quality games with a small team, in which everyone has a direct impact on the quality of our projects.

We are building our studio around 3 core values : Respect, Ownership, and Inclusivity. Troubled by the revelations that have recently shaken the industry, we will do our best to create an environment where everyone feels free, respected, and safe.

In love with strategy and multiplayer games, our first project is a turn based PvP tactical game, developed with Unity, and based on a rich and colorful futuristic licence.
The game could also be described as a mix between Overwatch and XCOM from a gameplay standpoint, with a stylized and painterly visual style, with semi-realistic proportions.

We are looking for a 3D Environment Artist, whose mission will be to :

  • Work with the team to conceive, visualize, and execute environment art.

  • Model and texture gameplay elements, environment, and backgrounds. Proficiency in hard surface process and stylized PBR textures is particularly important.

  • Create Assets that look good from multiple angles, with a free camera in mind.

  • Build modular architecture and use trim sheets to make world building efficient.

  • Plan and estimate tasks in collaboration with the rest of the team, in order to follow the budget and time constraints.

  • The 4-day work week

  • Flexible hours, and a hybrid working mode wfh/office

  • A friendly work environment, in a space shared with other independent studios, the Indie Asylum, which regularly organizes social activities

  • 5 weeks paid vacation, including 2 weeks during the winter holidays

  • A generous bonus system giving back a % of our games profits to the team

  • Collective insurance and a telemedicine program

  • Collective retirement savings plan
